Taksica Rides - Terms of Use

By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Booking and Payment

1.1. Booking: Customers can book rides via phone, email or through our website. All bookings should include accurate information regarding pick-up location, destination, and travel time.

1.2. Payment: Payment is due at the time of booking and may be required in advance to prevent fraud. We accept cash, credit cards, and other payment methods as specified on our website or by our staff. Prices are subject to change, and customers will be notified in advance.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

2.1. Cancellation by Customer:
- Customers can cancel their pre booked ride up to an hour before the scheduled pick-up time without penalty.
- Cancellations made within an hour of the scheduled ride will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total fare.

2.2. Cancellation by Taksica Rides:
- Taksica Rides reserves the right to cancel any booking at any time due to unforeseen circumstances such as driver availability or vehicle breakdowns. In such cases, we will notify the customer as soon as possible and offer an alternative or a full refund.

2.3. Late Cancellations Due to Breakdown or Force Majeure:
- In the event of a breakdown or force majeure event (such as weather conditions, accidents, or traffic delays), we will notify the customer immediately. While we will make every effort to find an alternative transport option, we are not liable for delays or cancellations resulting from such circumstances. No cancellation fee will apply in this case.

3. Breakdowns and Delays

3.1. Vehicle Breakdown: In the unlikely event of a vehicle breakdown, Taksica Rides will try to resolve the issue promptly and may arrange for an alternative vehicle if possible. However, we cannot accept responsibility for any delays or inconvenience caused.

3.2. Delays: We strive to ensure punctuality; however, unforeseen events such as traffic or accidents may cause delays. If we anticipate a delay of more than 20 minutes, we will notify the customer in advance.

4. Liability

4.1. Taksica Rides is not liable for any delays, cancellations, or loss of service caused by external factors outside of our control, including but not limited to adverse weather, accidents, traffic conditions, or mechanical breakdowns.

4.2. We are not liable for any damage or injury sustained by passengers during the journey unless caused by our negligence.

5. Conduct of Passengers

5.1. Passengers are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully towards drivers and other passengers.

5.2. Passengers may be refused service if they engage in disruptive, abusive, or unsafe behaviour, including intoxication or illegal activity. In such cases, the customer is liable to pay the full charge, and the payment will not be refundable.

5.3.By using our service, passenger(s) agree to treat the vehicle with care and respect. If a passenger vomits or misuses the car, they will be liable for a minimum charge of £ 100 for cleaning and damages.

5.4.Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes and vaping devices, is strictly prohibited in all Taksica vehicles.

5.5.Any customer found smoking in the vehicle may be subject to a cleaning and deodorising charge of £100 and may be refused future service.

6. Data Protection and Privacy

6.1. By using our services, you consent to the collection and processing of personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We will only use your data for the purpose of providing the service, processing bookings, and customer communication.

7. Pet Policy

7.1. No Pets Allowed: Pets are generally not permitted in Taksica vehicles, except for registered guide dogs.

7.2. Caged Pets: Caged pets may be allowed at the driver's discretion. The driver has the final decision at the time of pickup after assessing the situation.

7.3. Advance Notice: If travelling with a pet, customers must inform Taksica at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in the driver refusing the journey.

7.4. Pet Surcharge: If a pet is allowed in the vehicle under reasonable conditions, an additional charge of £15 will apply.

7.5. Cleaning Fee: If a pet soils or dirties the vehicle (e.g., mud, urine, faeces, fur, or any other mess), a minimum charge of £100 will be applied for professional valeting and cleaning.

7. Amendments to Terms

7.1. Taksica Rides reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via our website or other appropriate channels.

8. Governing Law

8.1. These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
